Pacifica police search for car involved in hit-and-run (BCN) -- Pacifica police ask the public to be on the lookout for a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that caused minor injuries to the driver of another vehicle struck early Tuesday, police said. Officers responded to a 1 a.m. report of a hit-and-run collision on state Highway 1 at Fassler Avenue. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the driver of the vehicle that was hit. The driver complained of pain but reported no serious injuries. Police said a preliminary investigation indicates the suspect's vehicle -- described as a white or light-colored car similar to a Toyota Camry -- was northbound on the highway approaching Fassler Avenue when the collision occurred. The suspect's vehicle -- now with obvious front-end damage -- then fled the scene, continuing north on the highway. (KDVR) — One person and several cats were seriously injured following a fire in Lakewood.West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a fire at a family home just after 7 a.m. Wednesday. Firefighters were in the 9900 block of West Wesley Avenue in the Carmody neighborhood northeast of Bear Creek Lake Park. Neighbors from across the street alerted 911 after they saw smoke coming from the home. Which areas are under a marginal risk for severe storms? According to WMFR, four people were being treated for possible injuries from the blaze. One adult was later transported to the hospital with serious injuries. WMFR also said that several cats were taken to the emergency vet.The fire is out, but the cause is still under investigation. According to WMFR, the home sustained significant damage.
