On Tuesday, an armada of ships and aircrafts raced against time to locate a missing submersible that disappeared in the North Atlantic with five people aboard on their way to explore the Titanic wreck. The missing craft, named Titan, reportedly had less than two days of oxygen left.As the desperate search continues, planes and ships searching the 10,000 square-mile search area are likely encountering much less famous shipwrecks. There are about 10,000 wrecked vessels in North American waterways, according to an estimate from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. We compiled data on thousands of those wrecks, contained in NOAA’s Automated Wreck and Obstruction Information System. It’s not a thorough accounting of every sunken vessel, but the data offers a unique level of detail, such as the name of many of the wrecked boats. The Titanic, which is highlighted on the map as a large white ship, sits on the ocean floor about 12,500 feet below sea level, and about ...

Lawyers for the plaintiff are seeking class action status on behalf of current and former Twitter employees. Shannon Liss-Riordan, an attorney for the plaintiffs, said the bonuses Twitter owes are in the “tens of millions of dollars.” Twitter, which has disbanded its media relations team, did not respond to a message for comment other than with an automated reply. The company is facing multiple lawsuits from former employees as well...

DENVER (AP) — Childhood sexual abuse victims in Colorado will no longer be able to file lawsuits over abuse that happened decades ago, as the state Supreme Court struck down a law Tuesday that gave victims a three-year window to sue over abuses as far back as the 1960s.
